This is a competition team formed to develop and support those students that want to test their skill in tournaments in our region. It is the purpose of this team to enhance sparing and point fighting techniques. The Tidal Wave Warriors represent Oceanside in tournaments against other martial arts schools. Team members are selected thru a try out basis. A high degree of dedication and commitment are needed to be on this team.
DEMO TEAM
DEMO TEAM Our demo team is one of the best teams in the area. The team meets every other Friday at 5:00 pm and trains for 1 hour. They perform at numerous functions. Special training is given to demo team members that wish to learn unique moves for their demo forms or for weapons. One year commitment is required. Because this is a Team, new memberships are only accepted once a year, usually in February. The team is open for all ages, we do not charge extra for this training however members are required to purchase a XMA (extreme martial arts) uniform about $95.
STORM TEAM
STORM TEAM Our “Special Team Of Role Models” is chosen based on their respect, integrity and ability to follow directions. They are a role model for all students. Class attendance is mandatory. They will also help guide and teach other classes. They receive a red, white and blue belt indicating membership. Team members usually go on to become instructors once they are black belts.
